BIOGRAPHY
Peter Stimeling's paintings are found in hundreds of private and corporate collections internationally, including the collection of The Executive Offices of the Sears Tower, Chicago, Illinois; The Peddie School, Hightstown, New Jersey; the President and Founder of Lego Toys Inc., Denmark; American Standard, New York, New York; Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pa.; portraits of thirty-one past and present members of the board of directors of North Penn Hospital, Lansdale, Pa.
Mr. Stimeling works in many mediums: acrylic, egg tempera, oil, etchings and watercolor.
Peter was profiled in American Artist’s, Portrait Highlights Special Edition April 2007. Peter was first featured in American Artist Magazine’s April 2004 issue. The 6 page article titled "The Special Qualities of Watercolor Portraits," written by Stephen Doherty, American Artist's editor in chief, is accompanied by ten of Peter's portraits.
Peter Stimeling attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA from 1969 to 1973, where he received an award for portraiture. Mr. Stimeling is a member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society & a Sylvan Grouse Guild Award recipient.
